You will hear brief, artist-approved, narratives on 26 works of art and their creators. You will be guided on an insightfully coordinated route. You will feel the New Energy of Norfolk in the NEON District. Join us for a unique pedestrian experience of art, culture, and community. There are fresh, stoic and high-tech works of art thanks to our family of artists. We will visit next-level and interactive pieces created in high tech mediums and classic street murals. The artwork here displays an energy that is the cultural, economic and spiritual regeneration of this neighborhood. There have been contributions from all the players. Commissions have sprung from business owners and Norfolk's Arts and Humanities Department. Some artworks were financed through crowdfunding and others by philanthropy. We have new glassblowing and culinary schools in the works by a local college. There are new residential structures going up and filling up. The city has also invested in the borough's infrastructure. All creating fertile ground for entrepreneurs in the NEON District.
