Beautiful mountain log cabin with modern amenities located on the Powell River. Our home has a spacious kitchen, large dinning table for family meals, and a gorgeous stone fireplace made from stone found on the property. The lower level is very private and is perfect for parents, in-laws, or teens. This is a peaceful get-a-way with plenty of fishing, hiking, and kayaking. Mendin' Fences is a working farm. During the summer months, we host horsemanship clinics. For more: you can find us on the web by the name of our farm. We are a great destination for a quiet getaway, a horse stopover, or even a family reunion if renting the additional bunkhouse. In each direction, you can find many activities to enjoy: Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge; wineries; historical sites (Rogersville & Jonesborough in particular). Two airports are 50 min & 1.25 hrs away.

Historic year-round cabin along lakeshore w/dock

The lake home was built in the early 1930's to house the engineers constructing the entire TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) system that created dams and hydro-electric power throughout the region. It also provided jobs that helped with employment during the Great Depression. A wonderful addition we made recently was a dock, which remains in the water from sometime in March until late October. Please note this is an old, quaint home. It has its quirks.

This cozy log home sits next to the creek in downtown Cumberland Gap. Walking distance to all the town shops, restaurants, and historic sites. Large, peaceful covered porch with a swing makes for a relaxing stay. Full kitchen with basic cooking necessities, dishes, coffee pot/ living room with tv/ two bedrooms (one room has a queen bed, the other has a full bed)/bathroom, and Wi-Fi access.

Our beautiful home is located on Cherokee Lake in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Sleeps 4-5. This unit is one of three different homes that sit together on a quiet 1-acre lot with boat dock shared by all three units (all are Airbnb rentals). The home features a kitchenette with hot plate, tons of decking, a grill, and a heck of a view. :)
