Statement period details include parlor doors, 11-foot ceilings, fireplaces, wood paneling, and floor-to-ceiling windows. You'll enjoy twelve foot ceilings with ceiling fans, large windows with working shutters, gorgeous woodwork including a fireplace in every room (including bathrooms) and the best of furnishings and art. You will be given the access code to keys with your reservation. The front porch, laundry room and back yard are shared. The remainder is private. The house is in the heart of the oldest part of the famous Treme neighborhood, just four blocks from the French Quarter and the street car line. Location, location, location ... bike rentals in the French Quarter (4 blocks) ... bike lanes on Rampart (4 blocks) and Esplanade (1 block) ... new streetcar line on Rampart ... connecting you to any historic neighborhood or park WITHOUT GETTING IN A CAR. Gamma, Nearly everything is within walking distance. The historic St. Charles Streetcar line passes right by the building and can take you for a beautiful tour of Uptown New Orleans. It's 3 blocks to Bourbon. Frenchmen Street is on the far side of the French Quarter. There are two streetcar routes, one along the river and one along Rampart Street, which both take you to Frenchmen.
