This cozy and comfortable one bedroom, one bath rustic cabin is conveniently located on a small lake in rural Arkansas. Just a short drive to I49, then 15 minutes to Texarkana and only an hour from Shreveport, LA. Enjoy your morning coffee on the back deck overlooking the calm lake. A private dock, with a personal paddle boat is just steps away. Guests will have access to the large stone patio, located just outside the cabin door. This newly remodeled cabin still has all of it's rustic charm.
Driving a little south of Texarkana (10 miles), brings you to a lovely little lake (Lake Davis), where you will find a quiet, cozy, and peaceful place to lay your head. It's more about a down home feel rather than an upscale, ultra modern place. I welcome travelers from all over the world who bring with them a piece (peace) from their world in which to share. You will feel like you are "coming home" when you stay here!
“De plaats was erg rustig en privé. Het kon niet beter zijn geweest dan wat we wilden. Haar huis ligt dicht bij een meer waar je kunt vissen als je wilt. Eerlijk gezegd voelden we ons alsof we het hele huis hadden terwijl wij er waren, zelfs als je alleen maar voor een kamer betaalt. Ook Holly's hond is zo vriendelijk en lief. Holly heel erg bedankt! Ik hoop dat we weer bij je kunnen blijven.”
We call this duplex apartment The Rafters. The building was originally a family owned feed store which had exposed hand built rough cut rafters in the ceiling and original hardwood floors. Southern Arkansas University, stores and restaurants are within a 7 minute drive. This apartment is located just a three minute walk from the historic square which is home to the annual Magnolia Blossom Festival World Championship Steak Cook Off. The square is home to many local shops as well.
