Explore Vibrant Lisbon from a Designer Loft

Open up the shutters and let the sun stream into this top-floor loft in Bairro Alto with a sharp, stylish interior. High ceilings, skylights, and angular, asymmetric lines create a sleek look, and the statement metallic lighting adds a high-end feel. The loft has a total area of 120m2, which includes 75m2 of open space (kitchen, dining and living areas), a suite of 25m2 and a second suite of 20m2. The interior is sharp and sophisticated, recently designed by myself together with a Dutch designer. The apartment has high-ceilings with angular and asymmetric lines, giving it lot of character. The open space is on the street side of the building, it has one main double door with a small french balcony, and four ceiling windows that can be opened automatically. The bedroom suites are on the inner side of the building and each has two large windows to the inner yard so you can sleep very quietly. They both have a private bathroom, with a toilet, sink, bidet, large mirror, large shower and automatic roof-windows (yes, we have natural light in the bathroom :) ). Furthermore, all areas have air-conditioning, central heating, wireless internet, windows that can be closed to complete darkness, and are double-glassed with excellent sound isolation. This is absolutely necessary to sleep well and quietly in this neighbourhood, if you are light- and sound-sensitive like we are. It's fun to live in Bairro Alto but one needs to rest quietly. At ours, you will find close-to-total sound isolation, and you will be able to sleep like a baby. Overall the loft will give you a spacious and luxurious feeling. From waking up with a Nespresso and the sun on your dining table, from taking a rain shower and sliding in your elegant outfit to enjoy the city life of Lisbon! Feel very welcome to our "Casa da Barroca" :)) You have access to the entire apartment and its amenities, except for a couple of closets that we locked so we can store our own things while we are hosting you. We actually live in this apartment. :) Someone who’s offsite will be available as needed. Bairro Alto, known as the bohemian district, is one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, with a unique identity and character. The narrow, cobbled streets are home to design shops, local stores, restaurants, bars, cafes, Fado houses, and nightclubs. Metro station "Baixa-Chiado" is 4 minutes walk from the apartment. If you take an Uber or a taxi, you need to be dropped at "Praça do Camões", which is 100 metres down the apartment (Rua da Barroca is closed to traffic, only exception being trash collectors, local inhabitants with a resident card and deliveries).

Chill in a Hanging Garden Chair at a Zen Riverside Haven

Start the day with a lazy breakfast on the patio at this hip duplex with an open layout. This peaceful hilltop spot in a restored historic villa boasts a light-filled mezzanine bedroom, exposed ceiling beams, and deep skylights for an airy ambiance. Keeping the original architectural layout of the facade, the interior of Duque's Villa was carefully refurbished to maintain the original wooden floors and window coverings, the high ceilings and the impressive staircase, as well as some furniture elements that tell us little secrets about the past. All suites are designed to enjoy a privileged view of the Tagus River and the spacious garden that surrounds the property. With a comfortable seating area, a kitchenette and a private bathroom, each of the suites features an unique and exclusive interior design, which includes typical details but with a modern Portuguese touch. The result is an elegant, distinctive and certainly royal atmosphere that will make you feel like a Duke. All guests have acces to the property's garden, parking, 1st floor balcony and reception area. Usually you will find someone at our reception on working hours, but besides that we are always available for an emergency. If you need help contact us to our mobile number, we never turn it off. This is a residential area very close to the city center, but removed just enough to guarantee a tranquil, village-like feel. This eastern, industrial part of the city sits between Lisbon’s historic heart and Nations Park, constructed for Expo '98. Within a short walk, you can reach the Nacional Tile Museum or the Fado Museum, and typical quarters like Alfama or Graça. You can also opt for the beautiful bicycle path along the river or public transports which are also nearby. This area is getting one of the trendiest places in town (you will not find many tourists here... yet!), and there are a number of different shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants nearby that are worth knowing - we would be happy to make recommendations and can help you book an appointment or reservation on your behalf. Architect-Designed Loft in a Historic Hilltop Neighborhood

An apartment with a surface area of 112 m2. The apartment is in a historic building completely renovated, that results in a design apartment and building with all the contemporany confort. The apartment is a loft concept that ofers on the ground floor a large living room with sofas and lots of natural light. On same level, there is the dining area with a fully equipped open kitchen. Also on same level there is a private bedroom and the bathroom. On the upper floor, you will find one bedroom that opens to the living room. Everything results in an apartment of excellence, with sober decoration and with all the amenities for a memorable stay. All the areas of the apartment are acessible. Available to help during stay. The loft is in the Príncipe Real neighborhood, located at the top of one of Lisbon's seven hills, with beautiful city views. It's a neighborhood with palatial buildings, gardens, dynamic shops, and restaurants with famous chefs. The nearest metro station is Rato, yellow line (10 min walking). The apartment have one parking space. Short walking distance from the main historical sites of the city: Bairro Alto, Carmo, Chiado, Avenida da Liberdade, Castelo de S. Jorge, Praça do Comércio. Very short walking distance to places of interest in the neighborhood: Jardim do Príncipe Real, Jardim Botânico de Lisboa, Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara, Museu de História Natural, Bairro Alto.
